Whistler's Mother Cartoon

I also like to cartoon.  The image you see is of Whistler's mother-my version.  Went to 2 art festivals in the area today.  One in Lyndhurst and the other in Chagrin Falls. Talked to some of the artists and there was some very high end work displayed. Learned some new things. Never saw so many elegant original watercolors in one place, such as those I saw in Chagrin Falls. These women have the patience of Job...  An awesome artist from Austin, Texas, Michael Babyak (www.babyakart.com) more truly speaks my language. He stated that he works in  acrylics because its the fastest drying medium-even going as far as using a blow dryer to hasten the process. He said he didn't have the patience for long drying processes. But that's OK. His work has everything to gain in spontaneity.
